Boulevard Chalks-up 'Big 30th'
Summary: "There was a birthday Saturday and the
guest of honor was a street. Biscayne Boulevard,
one of the world's best known thoroughfares was
30 years old.
It isn't very ancient as streets go. Compared to
Broadway, Picadilly or Havanah's Prado, it is just
an infant. But if anybody anwhere mentions
Biscayne Boulevard, everybody knows it's in Miami.
For the party, Miami's main stop went back to its
youth. The feature of the colorful birthday parade
was a fleet of vintage automobiles that were young
and proud when the street was born."
